Chiquis revealed she once thought about committing suicide.
She told Suelta La Sopa, Yes, I thought about [suicide]. I thought, 'If my mom isn't in this world, then what am I doing here?'" she said. "Then I thought, I have to be here for my siblings and God has me here for a reason."
The 31-year-old star reminds us that true beauty lies within.
The beauty previously showed off a collage of makeup-free seflies and wrote, "Ladies, true beauty lies within. In your heart, your mind and your soul. Don't let society tell you what you 'should' be."
The Latina singer knows money doesn't buy happiness.
She may have money in the bank, but she's not counting on it to bring her joy. "Money will only make you happy momentarily. It can be gone from one day to another, so don't let that be what drives you to be with someone," she wrote.
Chiquis is a powerhouse, but admits It's not easy being a woman.
Chiquis is a feminist at heart. She recently shared, "It's not easy being a woman, especially with all the pressure and expectations society puts before us […] Nonetheless I LOVE being a woman! AND not just any woman, but a woman with morals, hustle, brains, and integrity."
She urges women not to be people pleasers.
Chiquis knows the flow negative people have and doesn't put up with it. She shared with fans: "It's hard to please everyone… And those that aren't pleased will always have an opinion about your life without taking a moment to look at their own."
Chiquis believes in knowing your mission in life.
The "Paloma Blanca" singer knows why she was put on this earth. She encourages her fans to do the same. "Wake up and realize the mission you're here to complete. It's time to release who you've learned to be and give birth to who you really are," she wrote. Deep!
Chiquis believes single moms are badass.
Jenni Rivera was a single mom while raising Chiquis. She has plenty of respect for the struggle! "It ain't easy so give yourself a pat on the back," she wrote.
The Latina star believes in God--always.
The Rivera family is known for being very spiritual and Chiquis is no different. She shared with fans, "When God lives within you, no one can defeat you and/or the plan He has for your life."
No matter how busy she gets, Chiquis tries to find balance.
Chiquis knows very well that a work and life balance is essential. "Never get too busy or caught up in the 'rat race' that you forget to STOP and smell the roses. Enjoy the little things in life," she wrote.
Chiquis never lets the online hate and bullies get to her.
Chiquis knows that the best way to piss off your haters is to smile in their faces. "Don't worry or focus so much on outsiders and their negative opinions, mischievous ways or bitter comments. Smile, look to the sky and ask God to keep you strong for Him," she shared.
She's a true friend to her amigas.
Chiquis has no tolerance for fake friends. She said this about real friends: "They listen without judgment… And adore you even though they know the things you're most ashamed of."
