1. Keep them fresh: You are in for a shocker! Perfumes are alive and they fade if they are not stored in the right conditions. Certain lighting and humidity can alter the formula of the perfume and make it dull. Don't keep them in the bathroom (like me) instead choose a cool dry place.

2. If you have dry skin… Perfumes last longer on oily skins, but if yours is dry to can apply Vaseline on the area couple minutes before applying perfume. The moisture of the Vaseline will soak up the perfume and make it last longer.

3. Not a fan of Vaseline? I heard you, I personally don't like it. It's too sticky and my hair always gets stuck on it and it makes my clothes oily. Don't despair; a simple rub of unscented lotion will have the same effect. Simply apply it before you spray on perfume and enjoy all the compliments.

4. Straight from the shower: It's funny because they fade and thrive with moisture. They don't like to be stored in a wet place, but they last longer if you spray it on your damp skin. Lotions and perfumes lock in their aromas on a wet skin. Try it next time!

5. Oil based only: When buying your next perfume makes sure that it has a high oil concentration because it will last longer. Bottles that say "extrait du parfum" are better. They're also pricier, but you'll get more for your money since you only need a little bit.

6. On your brush not your hair: I confess that I apply a lot of perfume on my hair. Yes, it makes my hair smell great, but it makes it dry. The solution? Apply it on your brush and brush your hair right away. Same effect, better hair!
