Women tend to be behind the terrible beauty trends we see nowadays, but I knew it was only a matter of time until men caught on and found their own thing to obsess about. Which brings me to a new procedure called Male Bikini Laser treatment or "ball ironing".
At first it sounds like it's a manscaping treatment, and it is but when you get down to the nitty gritty of it, it's A LOT more than that. And now many men in Hollywood and beyond are joining in on the ball ironing fad. So what exactly is it?

One of the first big names to make mention of ball ironing was George Clooney who joked that the only thing he's had plastic surgery on are his testicles. Now you're probably wondering: Why would a guy want a cosmetic operation in that area? It turns out that this male bikini laser treatment is intended to tighten, even skin tone and remove hair from the guy's scrotum.
The $575 procedure is popular in a spa in Hollywood called Beauty Park where one of the terms they use to call it is the "Tighten and Tackle". The description on the spa's site reads: "This non-invasive, non-surgical treatment is applied to male scrotal area to help regain a more youthful look." Um, how is that non-invasive?!
The woman behind this new craze, known as Nurse Jackie, says that the scrotum ages quickly because of the type of skin found in the area. "It's a thinner skin like that around the eyes," she explains.
It's funny to me that men are jumping on the bandwagon for this new anti-aging and beautifying treatment for their testicles. I think it's ridiculous that women get all sorts of procedures to bleach, lighten and tighten down there, but to see that guys are falling for this must mean that many of them are more self conscious about it than I expected. As if meeting a man wasn't hard enough already! Now you have to check to see if his balls are up to par before committing yourself to him.
