Turmeric is a wonderful spice, similar to ginger, that has anti-inflammatory benefits, so it can soothe irritation and may help eliminate redness. Plus, it's an antioxidant so it does wonders for cleaning out the pores, and when used in its ground form to make a mask, it's a mild exfoliant as well. Just mix 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground turmeric, 1 teaspoon of raw honey and 1 tablespoon of coconut milk together, apply to a clean face and allow to sit for 20 minutes before washing off, to tighten, brighten and smoothe your skin.

Coconut oil can be great for your skin.

The properties for coconut oil are widely recognized for their potential to be healthy both for cooking and for our skin. Improve your skin's condition by mixing 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, and 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Put it on your face for 20 minutes and your skin will look so moisturized.

All you need is one peeled banana, cut and sliced into fine pieces, half a leaf of aloe vera, and one tomato without the skin. Mix all the ingredients in a blender and it will be a creamy substance that you can apply for 30 minutes for incredible results.

Papaya provides a lot of benefits for the skin.

Grab a big chunk of papaya, enough to cover the skin on your face and mix it in the blender, seeds and all. Apply it directly on your skin and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water to close your pores and for it to have a rejuvenating effect.
