You probably heard how__Mandy Teefey__, Selena Gomez's mom, was briefly hospitalized earlier this month. You probably also heard the rumors that an argument over Selena getting back with Justin was supposedly what led to the hospitalization.

According to E! News Justin isn't mainly to blame for the tension between Mandy and Selena. The complicated relationship goes way back and it's more complex than you can imagine.
Reportedly, Selena Gomez and her mom have been having issues long before Selena and Justin got back together for the millionth time.
The beef goes way back to 2014, back when Selena’s mom was fired from being her manager. "It caused a huge rift in their relationship," a source told E! News. "Mandy wouldn’t even let Selena talk to her sister for a long time."
Their issues were even reflected in Selena's show '13 Reasons Why.'
Sure, the mother-daughter duo attended the premiere together looking happier than ever, but according to sources, Mandy had "a really hard time" working on the show because she was so "emotionally and professionally affected" by Selena firing her as her manager.
We don’t know the details behind their fight over Justin.
But TMZ reports that the argument was "heated" and E! News claims that her family is actually "very sad" bout Selena and Justin getting back together. "Selena is dealing with some family issues at the moment and Justin is there for her," the source said. "He doesn’t want to cause any problems between Selena and her mom … Justin and Selena are still together."
Mandy has also been stressed about the anniversary of her miscarriage.
"She had a breakdown and checked herself into the hospital," a source said. "The breakdown last week was likely the result of a culmination of stress of the holidays, the anniversary of her miscarriage–which hit her very hard–and the stress of Justin and Selena getting serious." Mandy even posted a throwback picture with her and baby Selena with a caption about the baby she miscarried, who she had named Scarlett.
Selena and Mandy still share a close and special bond, though.
So we're hoping they work through whatever issues they're enduring as mother and daughter.
