Megan Hui cheated death twice before she was even born, making her the youngest badass ever.
At only six weeks gestation, Megan managed to not only survive her twin's miscarriage, but she also survived the medical abortion administered to her mother Michelle Hui in an effort to expel the miscarried fetus. I know what you're thinking: Why would doctors advise Hui to have an abortion if she still had one surviving fetus? Well, I'm glad you asked. Turns out, Hui did not know she had been pregnant with twins and the blood clots caused by Megan's twin's miscarriage obscured the surviving fetus, making Megan pretty much impossible to detect.

It wasn't until Hui returned to the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin 10 days later to have potentially harmful blood clots removed from her uterus that doctors discovered little Megan had been there all along. "I saw this little heartbeat," Hui said in an interview with the U.K.'s Daily Mail. "I thought it couldn't be right. After all we had been through, I didn't want to get my hopes up. The doctor went out and came back in with a more senior doctor and he did the scan again and he said, 'You are not going to believe it, we've got a heartbeat.' It was the best feeling ever."
Megan joined her two older siblings 4-year-old Mya and 2-year-old Noah in February of this year, and has been thriving ever since. "Now Megan is fine," reports Hui. "She is just a big healthy pudding of a baby. The doctors said it was a blessing. They have never heard of anything like it. Someone had been looking over us."
I'll say! The odds were technically against Megan and her family. Medical abortions have a success rate of about 97 percent. In fact, Megan's case is so rare, it has even the most seasoned professionals scratching their heads. Luck or no luck, Megan's case is one for the record books. I'm just glad she survived and is now thriving–a true miracle baby.
