WATCH: Dad runs to catch flyaway baseball, lets his kid in stroller just roll away!

Catching a flyaway ball at a game is every baseball fan's dream, but one father recently got a little too excited at the prospect. During Monday's spring training game between the New York Mets and the Miami Marlins, the dad was apparently so eager to get his hands on the ball that he let go of the stroller holding his child, causing it to go rolling down the hill and crash into a fence! Um, woops.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the entire incident was caught on tape and the commentators even stopped to point it out during the replay, yelling, "HE LET GO OF THE KID." Ha, talk about embarrassing! See it all go down after the jump.

As can be seen in the clip, the dad is walking alongside his wife down a grassy slope and pushing the little wagon with his child inside, when he suddenly spots the ball headed his way … and I'm not exaggerating when I say the reaction is instantaneous. He lets go of the cart and runs, without even looking back to see the stroller rolling down quickly towards the fence. Sheesh. He must have really wanted that ball.

The camera then cuts away right as we see the kid's mom (who had her arms full holding another child) pointing out the runaway stroller to her oblivious husband runs. Thankfully, the boy is reportedly OK, despite crashing into the fence.

Of course, that didn't stop the sports reporters from pointing it out during the replay and screaming, "PICK HIM UP! Oh my goodness! I mean, what are we doing here?" HA! I'm really glad the kid's uninjured obviously. But I admit, I couldn't help but chuckle just a little at the commentator's reactions. I mean, if this guy wasn't in trouble with his wife before, he definitely was after that! And thanks to this replay (and how fast it has gone viral online), I don't think he's gonna ever be able to live this down!
