Earlier this month I told you how Eugenio Derbez and his lovely wife, Alessandra Rosaldo, are having a baby. It's a super big deal for all the obvious reasons, but also because Rosaldo is 42 years old and this is her very first pregnancy, which puts her in the high risk category. As an older mom, I can't help, but sympathize. Of course there is a chance that absolutely nothing will go wrong and Rosaldo will breeze through the pregnancy, but anyone who has a high risk pregnancy should be a little extra careful. So when Derbez canceled his participation at a film festival in Acapulco, Mexico because Rosaldo wasn't feeling well due to her pregnancy, everyone freaked out and assumed it was a miscarriage scare.

Turns out that it wasn't. Derbez said in an interview that everyone made a bigger deal about it than it actually was. Yes, his wife wasn't feeling well and her doctor recommened rest, but it had more to do with her being tired from all the traveling they've done recently.
Huge collective sigh of relief! I'm so glad to hear that all is well with the pregnancy.
Rosaldo is around 12 weeks pregnant and according to Derbez, nausea and cravings are going strong and he's got them both covered. He grabbed some airplane barf bags from their recent travels so that Rosaldo could always have them on hand when she's out and about. Ha! And as far as the cravings go, Derbez says, that no matter the time he is willing, available, and ready to go find a place to buy her whatever she desires. Sweet!
