When planning their own labor, I doubt any mom-to-be pictures themselves giving birth at McDonalds–no matter how big of a fan they are of fast food! But that's exactly what happened to 20-year-old Shardonnay Hill, who had no choice but to deliver her baby i__nside the chain's bathroom after she went into premature labor.__

Employees helped prep the area for birth, flattening boxes for her to lay down on. With the help of a 911 operator on the phone, they were then able to deliver the baby. The newborn, who was three months early, wasn't breathing at first, but paramedics soon arrived and were able to revive him. They airlifted both mom and baby to a local hospital.
It's a scary and difficult experience to have anything go astray during pregnancy. Hill is extremely lucky that there were other people on hand to help her out and that medics were able to respond so quickly.
Thankfully, this story has a happy ending. Hill's family members revealed that the boy's name is Joshua Murray. But according to her aunt, Joshua will most likely grow up with a (very appropriate!) nickname. "[McDonalds] is her favorite restaurant, and we need to call him Ronald," she told KPLC 7. Ha!
Jeez, talk about a crazy birth! I'm just glad that all's well that ends well and that the infant seems to be OK, despite being premature. And I don't know about you, but I think that after all Hill has been through, she deserves free McDonalds for life!
