Tyler Rathjen knew he could get in trouble for driving so fast, but his wife was about to give birth to their third child and he didn't have any time to lose! Even though a police car was chasing him with the lights on and the siren at full blast, Tyler only stopped when he got a red light at an intersection in the Iowa city where they lived, and there was too much traffic to continue driving.
When he stopped the car, Tyler got off screaming that his baby was being born while he went around the car to help his wife Ashley. What a story!

As a police officer approached Tyler's car, he thought he was going to have to take both parents to the hospital but he was in shock when he realized the baby had already been born! Ashely only had to push a couple of times before her son Owen was born right there in the middle of the street!
The amazing incident was all captured on tape by the police car's camera and you can hear clearly as Ashley says, "Oh my God, he's coming, he's coming!" Right after, you can hear the little first cries of baby Owen, who weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and is in perfect health.
Clearly, Tyler and Ashely have one incredible story to tell little Owen when he's older about the day he was born. Oh, and in case you're wondering, the police did NOT give Tyler a ticket for speeding!
