Celebrities are under intense scrutiny every time they step out in public and whenever they post on social media as well. Every time they post photos on Instagram, they're nitpicked and criticized. Of course, female celebrities are even more prone to judgment about their physical appearance, and fans often feel the need to comment negatively on their bodies and shame them for looking a certain way. 

It seems like no matter how many conversations there are about body acceptance and body positivity, there are always some people who see a woman's body as something that is meant to be scrutinized and picked apart.

Beauty standards can be so insane, and people always seem to find ways to belittle a celebrity if they don't look a certain way. Celebrities have just as much a right as anyone else to have flaws and to look like normal people. Some celebrities have addressed the body shamers directly, while others have taken the high road and continued posting and sharing as many photos of their bodies as they please. Others, like Selena Gomez, have shared the negative impact the hateful comments have had on them. The singer opened up about how hurtful it was to be bullied about her weight during a difficult time in her life, and she's not the only one.
