Oh my gatos, I'm laughing my pompis off over here and you're about to be laughing too. Por why? Because there are some words in Spanish that white people just can't say. To be fair it's not just "white" people, I'm sure it's anyone who is a native English speaker and has very little familiarity with Spanish, it's just funnier to say "white people" than "anyone who is a native English speaker with very little familiarity with Spanish." Stay with me and I promise you some laughter.

The funny folks over at Flama had the good sense to sit some white folks down and videotape them trying to say words in Spanish. The results are HILARIOUS to say the least. The words that were given are perro, idea, hallar, exigir, refrigerador, negar, acercarse, ejercer and corregir.
Watching these people have such a hard time pronouncing these words made me realize that it's not true when people say that Spanish is so much easier than English because you say it just the way it's written and vice versa. Really? Because acercarse looks a whole like it should be pronounced akerkarse.
Forget about these people being able to roll an r, that wasn't going to happen. Then they were convinced that idea was an English word being sneaked in to trick them. I really started laughing when some of them pronounced hallar like holla as in "holla at me." Too freakin' funny, but the BEST was when they got to the word negar and every single one of them looked horrified because to them it sounded like the infamous N-word in English that white people do not ever under any circumstances get a pass for saying. That's when I really lost it.
