Military members being reunited with their families is something that never fails to touch my heart–especially if there is video involved! We all know (or should know) the sacrifices the men and women of the armed forces and their family members make to protect and serve our country, but there's just something about putting faces with those stories that makes what they go through all the more real. I for one can't get enough of all the surprise reunion videos we see on the news these days. This one is no exception.

An adorable 9-year-old boy was busy participating in some fun at summer magic camp when his father, Major Timothy Christensen, who had been on a tour of duty in Afghanistan for over a year, entered the room. The magician asked little Ethan Christensen to pass the military hat they had used in their trick to the man behind him–his new assistant–and upon turning around Ethan realized it was his father and literally leaped into his arms.
It was the cutest, sweetest, most natural and instinctive reaction, and it totally made me tear up and smile the biggest smile.
Major Christensen also surprised his 11-year-old daughter Emily at the same camp that day. I for one want to send a giant thank you to the entire Christensen family for the sacrifices they make each and every day to keep perfect strangers safe and free.
