Mysterious priest comforts family trapped in car wreck & now they say he’s proof of angels!

A mystery priest appeared out of nowhere to pray with 19-year-old Kaite Lentz as she was struggling for her life and trapped inside of a crushed Mercedes after being hit by 26-year-old Aaron Smith on a Missouri highway on Sunday. Rescue workers had been trying desperately to get her out of the mangled car for about an hour to no avail, when Katie asked for them to pray out loud with her. That's when out of nowhere, a Catholic priest, who had anointing oil with him, stepped forward and offered a prayer.

The priest calmed both Katie and the rescue workers who had been unable to cut through the car with their equipment to get Katie out. She was trapped behind the steering wheel, in dire condition, and fading fast. Right after the prayer, the Hannibal Fire Department showed up with more equipment and Katie was taken safely out of the vehicle and put on an Air Vac helicopter.

Once the rescue was completed, workers turned around to thank the priest, but just as mysteriously as he appeared, he was gone, without a trace. He just seems to have appeared right at the moment that Katie needed him.

The highway had been blocked for a quarter mile during the hour and a half rescue, there were no bystanders or parked cars. No one saw the priest come and no one saw the priest go.

Katie suffered internal injuries and has undergone several orthopedic surgeries. She is in serious condition and has a long way to go. Aaron Smith the driver of the car that crossed the center divide and hit Katie, has been charged with a DWI, assault, and failure to drive on the right side of the road.

As for the mystery priest, everyone just wants to thank him.
