Demi Lovato literally kicks butt… for hours!
Jay Glazer, the founder of Unbreakable Performance Center where Demi trains, told People that she spends four hours in the gym! She does an MMA activity like "boxing, Muay Thai, ground fighting and/or Brazilian jujitsu,” as well as circuits with low weights and high reps to tone her body.
Kim Kardashian uses weights and machines to keep her glutes toned.
The reality TV star shared her butt routine with fans, and it’s intense. She does glute kickbacks, squats with a weighted bar, sumo deadlifts, the leg press machine, weighted hip thrusts, the hip abduction machine, calf raises, and ends with the StairMaster.
Sofia Vergara has a great replacement for running.
Sofia Vergara uses the treadmill to build her iconic butt and legs. Her trainer Jennifer Yates recommends that you "walk anywhere between a six to eight percent incline, and walk at a speed where you feel a touch out of breath, but you aren't jogging. A steep hike is challenging."
Jennifer Lopez is always switching things up.
“We change the workout every 10 workouts,” celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson told Hollywood Life. “That’s the secret. We can only stay on a movement every 10 days.” This keeps the muscles challenged for greater results.
Dascha Polanco also believes in changing up her routine.
“With my trainer, I do 15 minutes of intense cardio, like push-ups to the max, the Stairmaster, or the elliptical,” the actress told The Cut. “We do squatting with a medicine ball. I don’t do the treadmill because I get motion sickness. Depending on if it’s a leg day, we do a lot of burpees, calisthenics, and the leg machine. There’s a lot of high-intensity interval training. Sometimes we work outside and do the heavy ropes for arms. We focus each day on something different.”
Amara La Negra's love of dance keeps her in shape.
“Before I began focusing a 1000 percent on my career, I was a Zumba instructor and I am still certified to instruct,” Amara told BET. The singer changed her lifestyle after going through a rough patch in her life where she turned to eating for comfort. She weighed 230 pounds at one point. “So when I decided to change my life for the better, I stopped eating pizza, which I love, and I started dancing like three to four hours a day and naturally lost the weight,” she shared.
Gina Rodriguez has been boxing since she was a little girl.
Her father, Genaro Rodriguez, was a boxing referee and trained Gina and her siblings to fight. “He taught my sisters and me how to box at a very young age, which was fantastic for our confidence, athleticism, and discipline,” the actress told Shape.
Jessica Alba loves working out with other people.
“I really like taking group classes, or I like to work out with friends,” she told Byrdie. “I like high-intensity workouts; I like moving around a lot. I don’t like a lot of repetition. I like Spin classes, depending on the teacher and the playlist. I do like hot yoga classes, if it’s done at a good pace. I prefer it mixed in with light weights, so like a sculpting hot yoga class. I’ll always work out with a friend because it’s more fun.”
Shakira incorporates dance into her routine.
”We'll do my Happy Hour workout," her trainer Anna Kaiser told PopSugar, "alternating between cardio and strength intervals. For the cardio portion, we're dancing — we're keeping it nice and low impact. Nothing too high impact, so she can really use her muscles when she's dancing and tone at the same time."
Camila Alves’ three children keep her in shape.
"They love sports, they love being outside," the model told E! News. "Whether it's going on a hike, whether it's going to play football or hula hoop or whatever it is that they're into at that moment, it's just really about being outside and being in nature and getting your body moving forward."
