This vagina fitness tracker is genius, here’s how it works

You'll never guess what the Oscar organizers decided to put in the "consolation goodie bags" for the nominees who didn't win. The bag may have included a dreamy trip to Hawaii and expensive skincare, but there's one little product that really stood out to us: the Elvie, a vagina fitness tracker that's designed to change every woman's pelvic floor life. That's right. This thing apparently works wonders!

You've heard of kegel exercises. You know, the ones that involve you squeezing the muscles you use to pee and then releasing. According WebMD, kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic floor muscles and help with everything from stress incontinence, urge incontinence, making childbirth easier, and even enhancing sexual pleasure. But not everyone gets how to do them. That's where the Evie comes into play.

The $199 device helps detect if you are actually doing your kegels correctly using motion sensors. It literally measures the strength of your squeeze. Bluetooth helps you connect the machine to the app to help you visualize each exercise.

It's super simple to use too. All you have to do is place the Elvie inside your vagina and leave the tail outside. Connect the device to the app using Bluetooth and track your strength. Every woman should own one of these, honestly. I'm so glad Oscars organizers for included this little device in nominee gift bags; emphasizing the importance of women 's sexual health is certainly something to applaud!
