A study conducted by the Journal of Food Chemistry found that avocado pits are super rich in antioxidants. They are also high in soluble fiber, which can help lower high cholesterol. The fact is that 70% of the antioxidants found in avocado are actually in the pit itself! While an avocado pit doesn't seem edible, there is a simple trick to reap all of the benefits of this super seed.   

Researchers from the journal of Plant Foods in Human Nutrition also found that the seed's antioxidant properties can help fight against cardiovascular diseases because it prevents lipid oxidation, which causes harmful arterial plaque from forming.

This is truly a miracle pit! The fiber properties found in avocado seed also has a ton of benefits to promote intestinal and stomach health. Avocado seed tea can help burn fat and can help with undesirable symptoms like diarrhea, muscle pain, and thyroid problems among other things.

Making sure that you suck all of the awesomeness out of an avocado seed is easy. Simply grind the avocado pit in a food processor until it turns into powder form. Make sure that your food processor's blades are really sharp because otherwise you will end up with a choppy seed that you may as well discard.
