5 Home remedies from my abuela that cure almost everything

My abuela is full of wisdom. It's amazing all the remedies she uses and applies every day, and now that I'm with her, she did me the favor of revealing them.

Bloated stomach? Irritated eyes? Burns?  She has a home remedy for everything. Here I share five remedies she passed on to me so you can use in case you have some discomfort:

Arnica flower tea: Heals muscle inflammation, blows, rheumatism. Buy arnica herb with flowers in a local market; buy the flowers, preferably. Boil the flowers in a quart of water and apply fomentations on the inflamed area with a clean towel. Repeat several times a day.

Chamomile tea: It cures conjunctivitis, sore eyes. Purchase chamomile flowers in a local market. Boil the flowers in one liter of water. Strain the tea and apply poultices over the eyes with a clean cloth. Let the towel rest a few minutes on your closed eyes and repeat several times a day.

Aloe pulp: Heals burns, relieves inflammation. Buy one aloe leaf. Cut it in half and apply the pulp on the affected area. Hold the leave onto the skin with a bandage, and keep it there for a few minutes.

Green tmato: To cure a sore throat. Buy some green tomatoes in the local market. Place one on a grill for a few minutes. Cut it in half and place it on your throat. Leave it on the skin for a few minutes. Rinse afterwards.

Bougainvillea tea with cinnamon, or honey with lemon: It's a great cure for coughing. Purchase bougainvillea flowers and cinnamon quills. For a cup of tea use about 3 bougainvillea flowers and 1/3 of a cinnamon quill. Boil the two ingredients in water for a few minutes and strain them. And drink it warm.

The other option is to put in a cup a spoon of natural honey and the juice of one lemon and stir. Heat it or boil it and drink it slowly thoughout the day.
