Eggs
They are amazing in morning omelets or pancakes, but did you know eggs could also be used as a skin regimen? Egg whites have anti-aging compounds that can firm skin. Mix egg whites in a bowl and rub on your face. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes and then rinse. Your skin will feel tighter and less greasy.
Buttermilk
This ingredient is super rich in lactic acid, which is often a main ingredient in expensive creams and peels. Adding a cup to your bath will soften and brighten your skin–especially in the cold winter months. Buttermilk can also be used as a hair mask. Just blend along with banana, honey and avocado.
Basil
Think beyond pesto with basil. The herb is super useful for repairing dry and sun-damaged hair. Just blend together with water until you have the consistency of a paste. Add to hair and let sit for at least 30 minutes then rinse.
Sour cream
This product can help calm irritated skin thanks to a type of alpha hydroxyl acid it contains. Sour cream also helps improve skin tone and offers a healthy and natural glow. Rub on your face and leave for 20 minutes, then wash.
Strawberries
Did you know strawberries are a natural teeth whitener? Mash a bunch, grab a toothbrush and start cleaning your teeth. The vitamin C and seeds help get rid of plaque and remove stains. Try it once a week for five minutes.
Coffee
Ground coffee can be used to help reduce cellulite. Who doesn't love this idea? Take about a cup of ground coffee and mix with equal parts of olive oil. Rub on your legs and problem areas on your thighs. You will feel more firm almost instantly.
Cerveza
Drinking too much booze can definitely be bad for your liver and skin. However, adding it to thinning hair can help you gain extra volume due to the yeast. After shampooing, rinse hair with a bottle or can of flat beer. Rinse with conditioner so you don't end up smelling like the stuff!
Honey
Honey is amazing for your face and is considered a natural brightener. It could be used in a ton of natural facial masks recipes. Try mixing it with mashed avocado or adding it with milk and rub on your face. Wait for about 15 minutes and then rinse.
