Plants are beautiful and the perfect touch to add personality to any space. If you are a Feng Shui kind of person, you know that they bring great balance to a room and even attract all that negative energy from some visitors. I personally used to have indoor plants, but I couldn't keep them alive for too long. I didn't know I was buying varieties that were "easy to kill." Yes, it turned out that it wasn't me after all.
If you are a little intimidated by the green living things, I invite you to watch this slide show so you can choose wisely next time you are shopping in a plant nursery.

Cactus
As you know cacti are every plant hater's best friend. They are very easy to maintain because they need very little water. You just need to be careful where you place your little cactus plant because she needs air. Make sure to choose a ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
Kalanchoe
This beautiful plant is also very low-maintenance and lives through the hottest and coldest days of the year because it retains water well. It blooms beautiful hot pink flowers throughout the year and it doesn’t require a lot of plant food.
Bonsai Trees
Bonsai trees have a bad reputation as a high maintenance plant, but in reality they are easy to take care. They live longer than most plants and most times they die because you are watering too much. They need little water, but do note that they need a big pot. Most people just leave them in the little pot they come with which makes it very difficult for them to breathe.
Jade Plant
This African beauty is a desert plant which means it needs very little water. "Little water" is the keyword here because the Jade has short roots. Make sure to plant it in a shallow pot so it gets more stable. If the pot is too deep it might make the plant tip to the side and that will probably make her sad.
Philodendron
You don’t need to worry too much about this plant. In fact, it only needs water once a week. This plant is perfect for apartments because it doesn’t need that much light or ventilation. Its beautiful big green leaves are very welcoming and will add a lot of personality to your space. You can even make it the focal point of the room and decorate around it.
Crown of Thorns
This plant is ideal if you are the type of person who forgets watering your plants on a weekly basis. Crown of thorns doesn’t require that much water because it has the capability to retain it. This plant also lives well during the winter days and it blooms flowers all year long. You'll be surprised by the little work you have to do to keep it alive.
Echeveria
All this stunning plant needs to survive is a sunny window. Echeveria is all about light and little water. Make sure to water it a couple of times a week during the summer and spring. During the winter you can water it every other week because she goes to sleep when she senses the change of light during the cold days.
