Going into the skin care industry was a bold move for Kylie Jenner, and it's already proving to be challenging for her. After the massive success of her Kylie Cosmetics makeup company, the young mogul launched Kylie Skin earlier in May but fans are starting to question just how knowledgeable she is when it comes to the world of skin care.

To promote her Kylie Skin face wash, the beauty mogul filmed a video of herself washing her face and fans were quick to criticize her for how poor of a job she did as well as using a filter in the clip. With so many experts in the beauty field and fans who are well-versed on the topic, it's difficult to get away with not doing things according to their standards.
Kylie shared a video of her washing her face with Kylie Skin face wash.
In the clip, Kylie is using a flower filter that smooths out her face and she washes her face for less than 10 seconds. Once she starts drying her face, she picks up a white towel and her fans were quick to notice that there was foundation on the towel.
Fans replied to the post on Twitter with some scathing remarks.
Fans were not pleased with the clip and lashed out in the comments section about Kylie not selling quality products to her fans. Some fans were not happy that she didn't wash her face for long enough, claiming her method doesn't allow the product to do its job. "This how you wash your face when you can buy new skin," one fan wrote.
She was also previously criticized for one of her face scrubs.
Beauty gurus and estheticians have been recommending chemical exfoliants over physical exfoliants, which can often be too abrasive or harsh for the skin. After Kylie announced that a walnut scrub was part of her Kylie Skin line, she received tons of backlash from fans on social media. "Walnuts are about as gentle as shattered glass, or a glove with tiny needles," one fan wrote. Another tweeted: "Physical exfoliant are soooo 2005. No thanks." One fan said harsh exfoliators can often cause tears to the skin, "Funny how she left out the chunks of walnuts that are in this that cause micro tears to the skin." Another fan even said she witnessed how bad it was when someone did a review: "I WATCHED A KYLIE SKIN REVIEW AND AS THE GIRL USED THE WALNUT SCRUB SHE SAID IT WASNT HARSH THEN WHEN SHE DRIED HER FACE THERE WAS BLOOD ON THE TOWEL FROM WHERE IT LITERALLY CUT HER SKIN." That doesn't sound pretty.
Kylie has continued promoting her products, even after the backlash.
She's already advertising that a restock will be taking place in June after the products flew off the shelves after their May release. Kylie Cosmetics received its fair share of criticism in the beginning when it launched in 2016, and Kylie was quick to take her fans' advice and she revamped her products. Here's to hoping she does the same for Kylie Skin. But in the end, even if she doesn't, the young billionaire is still laughing her way to the bank.
