I'm always amazed at some of the beauty hacks women on Instagram come up with these days. The latest is to help clear your skin and it involves dental floss. That's right, women are using dental floss to extract their blackheads and it's pretty genius. Wait until you see how she actually does it. It's going to blow your mind!

Instagrammer Suki Mann (@sukhimann_) has been cooking up some impressive beauty tricks lately and her acne-clearing one has everyone on Instagram obessed. It fact, it's so good it's already gotten over a million views. All she does is use two disposable floss picks to scrape out her blackheads and it really works.

Suki starts off by soaking a towel in hot water and then presses it on her T-zone for five minutes to open pores. Then she takes two floss picks and gently scrapes them down her nose, removing everything from dirt, excess oils and sweat from her pores. You literally see all the nasty gunk right on the floss. She finishes off by soaking a cotton ball in mouth wash and applies it to her face as a toner. I'm not exactly sold on the mouthwash as toner part. There are plenty of really good non-astringent toners out there. The floss is what I'm still debating about.
After watching this video I can't help but be concerned if this hack would leave scars or manchas on my face. Beverly Hills-based dermatologist and founder of SkinxFive, Ava Shamban, told Glamour that it's totally safe.
"Since she's using it to essentially scrape her skin, it looks like it would be okay [to replicate] as long as you're not using the [flosser stick] in a sawing motion, cutting into the skin," Shamban says. "The only drawback would be that the floss is clean, but not sterile."
In other words, it's not a bad or dangerous hack but it can come with risks. My advise: Get yourself a pack of pore stripes and call it a day. Leave the actual extractions to the pros.
