Maybelline male ambassador Manny Gutierrez’s dad shuts down homophobic haters & we love it!

When Maybelline announced Manny Gutierrez as their first ever male ambassador earlier this month, the internet celebrated. After all, anyone should be allowed to wear makeup right? But apparently not everyone feels that way. In fact, conservative blogger and Christian columnist Matt Walsh wasn't happy about it at all. He even went as far as penning an op-ed on Twitter titled, "Dads, We Can't Expect Our Sons To Become Real Men If We Don't Teach Them How." Can you believe this?

Everything about Walsh's tweet is wrong. Not only is he assuming that someone like Manny didn't have a father around to raise him, but he's also implying that for a man to pursue a makeup artist career means that there was some confusion he experienced growing up and that's completely inaccurate. In fact, Manny proved that in his response to Walsh's tweet.

"My dad actually works for me and is SO PROUD of me. Sorry about it," Manny wrote. He afterwards tweeted a screen shot of his father's text response to the entire thing and it was the best response ever.

" I just saw that post from Mr. Walsh. Luckily for him, there's no contact information. But I do want you to post this on your platforms: 'Not only am I proud of what he has accomplished but I'm more proud of the person he has become,' " his father wrote.

In Manny's tweet he captioned the message: "My dad is a fucken SAVAGE, I can't with him." Honestly, his dad is my freaking hero. Walsh needed to be put in his place and that's exactly what he did. Manny closed it with the perfect tweet too: "Being a man isn't about how 'tough' or 'masculine' you are. It's about taking care of the ones you love." I couldn't agree more.
