You'd think given her fame, fortune and blossoming family, Kim Kardashian would have plenty to smile about these days. However the reality diva is rarely ever spotted with a sonrisa on her face. Seriously, what gives? Well, it turns out Kim sold her smile in exchange for youthful, radiant skin. The reality diva shared a rare photo of herself laughing with a friend on Instagram Sunday, along with a caption that reads: "See I do smile… even laugh on occasion. Not too often though because it causes wrinkles…" I swear to Yeezus, this woman is going to give ME wrinkles!

I hate to admit it, but Kim's self-deprecating post actually made me laugh out loud. Ugh! Now I'm going to get laugh lines to match the frown lines she's already given me. Not cool, Kim. Not cool at all. I was all too content thinking Kim was devoid of a sense of humor, but it turns out she isn't. She has one, and it's simply wicked!
I'm not Kim's biggest fan (I've said this time and time again), but there's something to be said for a woman who is so incredibly self-aware. Kim knows where she stands with the public. She knows we deride her as a shallow, humorless mannequin, but she doesn't care. In fact, she's more than happy to live up to that image, because that image is what ultimately made her a household name.
Think about it. If Kim wasn't so conceited and self-obsessed, would we even care about her? If she hadn't gotten a vampire facial or posted any pics of herself wearing soul- and curve-crushing fajas, would we even care about what she was doing, day-to-day. Probably not. Kim understands that we love to hate her because we know that she knows she's beautiful.
That said, I really wish Kim WOULD smile more. She looks radiant and beautiful and human when she smiles. I'd even argue it's perhaps her most valuable accessory–one that she can and should pass down to her daughter, North West.
