Mom delivers her own baby via C-section & the pics will change your life

Delivering your baby is an experience you never forget. It also proves to yourself just how strong you really are. An Australian mother recently showed us how tough moms do it. Sarah Toyer delivered her newborn herself with a maternal-assisted C-section (also known as natural C-section) on January 4th. The photos are just incredible and will change your life! I was left in disbelief.

Toyer was featured in the popular Facebook page "Birth Without Fear" and received almost 3,000 shares! The photo is so amazing because this is not how conventional C-sections work. Normally, you're divided from your baby by a surgerical curtain, your hands are strapped to the side and you immediately don't receive skin-to-skin contact with your baby. That was my experience was when I gave birth in 2015.

In Toyer's case, she had three prior births that were the traditional C-sections. She realized that she wanted a different experience and fought to achieve it. She wrote, in part:

This was the moment I welcomed our fourth baby into the world. Yes I delivered my son during my fourth cesarean. When I discovered I was pregnant I was determined to have a maternal assisted c-section! I talked to every midwife, doctor, and surgeon about what I wanted to do, but they all said it would depend on the surgeon on call that day.

This mom proves that there's nothing wrong with advocating and fighting for the type of birth you want. She ended her post with, "I highly recommend you stick to your guns about what birth you want."

Toyer's story is so inspiring. Her son Spencer is one lucky baby.
