Growing up, my mom always served me papaya whether it was in a smoothie or a fruit salad. Papaya contains so many excellent vitamins and nutrients that are great for your skin, organs and digestive system that it's definitely a great fruit staple to have at home.
Although papaya by itself (unless it's ripe) can taste a bit bland, I enjoy combining it with other fruits to enhance its flavor. In fact, I have a delicious papaya, banana and pineapple smoothie perfect for a flat tummy that you just have to try!

Whenever I make a smoothie I usually like adding greens and other seeds to the mix if I want it to be extra healthy. But then there are days when I prefer something simple that doesn't require a lot of guess work and I stick to basic ingredients. In this case, pineapple, papaya, and bananas are great fruits to have on hand to use as bases for your favorite blends.
This tropical and healthy smoothie is so delicious that your whole family will enjoy it. All you need are the following ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of papaya
1 cup of pineapple
1 medium sized banana
1 cup of almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1 cup of ice cubes
Directions: In a blender add all of the ingredients including the milk and blend until smooth. Add more milk if you prefer your smoothies less thick.
