When I heard Rihanna was going to be honored with the Fashion Icon award at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards, I just knew she was going to blow us away with some outrageous outfit. Isn't that what Riri does best? And we can't deny that what we love the most about her is her ballsy style and admirable confidence. But even so, I would have never in a million years imagined that this chica was going to walk the red carpet in a "naked dress." Yes, Riri sparkled in a barely-there custom Adam Selman gown that was covered in head-to-toe Swarovski crystals and revealed everything from butt cheeks, stomach and even nipples!

Rihanna's dress was so revealing, the last thing you'd notice were the 216,000 Swarovski crystals it was covered in. I guess you could say she was trying to channel some old Hollywood glamour. Some people think she was paying homage to Josephine Baker (whose birthday is today by the way). But I think this was Rihanna's way of telling Instagram (who recently disabled her account due to "inappropriate" pictures) and the rest of the world, "Screw you I'm going to wear and show as much skin as I want."
I think it's fair to say, this is hands down the sexiest, most revealing dress in red carpet history. This dress makes that Versace number J.Lo wore to the 2000 Grammy awards look conservative. The glittery frock was totally sheer, showing everything BUT her vagina. And if it wasn't for that nude G-string, she would have been completely naked! Aside from her va-jay-jay, the only other part of her body that was actually covered was her head, in that metallic head scarf.
It's no wonder Rihanna got to take home a Fashion Icon award. Like it or not, this girl definitely knows how to get people talking and isn't that the whole point of being a fashion icon? No one knows how to push the envelope quite like she does and home girl is fully aware of the influence she has on the fashion world. And let's face it, if anyone can get away with wearing a dress like this–it's Rihanna!
