We've seen really weird nail trends this past year, like weed nail art and KFC edible nail polish. So we weren't exactly surprised when we heard edible chocolate nails was a thing. That's right, New Zealand nail technician Jessie Mills from Nailed It NZ is the genius behind the new dessert-inspired fad. Sure, it might sound gross but it's actually the coolest thing we've ever seen. Trust, your mind will be blown!

Mills loves experimenting with nails. In fact, she's the same woman who started the "Polish Mountain" challenge. Remember that? This time she's creating edible chocolate nails by swirling chocolate icing on the body of the nail. She then dots each nail with super cute adornments that resemble silver pearls. It's pretty cray.
At first glance, the nails might make you feel kind of queezy. Especially after Mills starts eating them off her fingers. But there's no denying this is a pretty cool trick. Seriously, who thinks of this? Plus, it's not the kind of nails you're going to actually rock for days or even hours. Mills was honestly just having fun.

If you're interested in trying this trend, you better be down for eating the nails because these things aren't going to last. In fact, Mills had a hard time drying them. It was close to impossible. "I tried putting them in the freezer, as you probably saw to try get them to dry, but they aren't really doing it … so I'm just going to wait it out a bit and wait if they dry," she said in her YouTube video tutorial. "If not, I guess I'll just eat them as they are," she said.
