A great way to celebrate the love we share with children, and to make them feel special on Valentine's Day, is to start their day off with a special love-themed breakfast. We've taken the liberty of gathering a few simple Valentine's Day breakfast ideas that will let your kids know they are loved with every bite they take. They are all pretty simple to make. Let's just say a lot can be done with a heart-shaped cookie cutter—or a knife for that matter—and few pink and red foods. Check them out!
Raspberry chia pudding is a great make-ahead option for Valentine's Day breakfast.
If Valentine's Day is on a weekday, an elaborate breakfast may be out of the question, but you can still do something fun. You can whip up a batch of healthy chia pudding the night before. Top individual cups or bowls with some pomegranate arils, red currants, or even chopped strawberry, for a super festive look. Tip: You can puree the pudding if your kids prefer a smoother texture.

There's such a fun novelty factor anytime you make something common, but put a different twist on it. Your kids will be so impressed with these pink pancakes on Valentine's Day. Of course, you could add a few drops of pink food coloring, but if you're also keen to bump up the nutrients, you can whip up a batch with beets. You can't even taste them!

Eggs and toast made with lots of love.
This Valentine's Day breakfast idea is simple. All you have to do is put a heart-shaped cookie cutter on the pan you're going to cook your eggs in and cook your egg inside the cookie cutter. Make sure you're not using a plastic cookie cutter or one made out of anything that will melt. You can serve the eggs alongside toast that has heart-shaped jelly on the center.
Heart-shaped strawberries will give any plate a touch of love.
You could make any breakfast and simply garnish it with strawberries cut into heart shapes—we'll show you some examples in a bit. Oh, and cutting strawberries into heart shapes is not hard. You just need a sharp paring knife to cut a V-shape out of the top of the strawberry, then you cut that strawberry in half and voilá, you have a heart.
Or you could also make roses out of strawberries.
Another simple way of adding some love to breakfast is by turning strawberries into roses. Again, all you need to do this are strawberries and a paring knife. You can use the strawberry roses to decorate a plate or top off yogurt, oatmeal, or waffles.
You can also get creative with meats.
As we mentioned, if you have a heart-shaped cookie cutter at your disposal, there is so much you can do with it. For example, you can use it to make heart-shaped sausage, ham, bologna, or any kind of lunch meat to serve with breakfast. It also works great on cheese. You could create an entire charcuterie board of heart-shaped delights.
Make pancakes and top them with heart-shaped jelly.
You can serve regular ol' pancakes and dress them up for the occasion by topping them off with jelly in the shape of a heart on top. Bonus points if you serve hot chocolate with heart-shaped marshmallows with them. A hand-written love note is the perfect finishing touch.

How about a bear hug on a plate?
You can use large and small pancakes to shape a bear on a plate and then cut a strawberry in the shape of a heart for the pancake bear to hold. The eyes and nose can he made out of blueberries or chocolate chips and the mouth can be drawn on with chocolate syrup or jelly.
Bacon and heart-shaped eggs.
This could be breakfast on any given day, but turning the eggs into hearts gives it a very Valentine's Day feel. You could also serve it with a side of heart-shaped strawberries. Or you can shape the bacon into a heart and cook it in the oven at 350° until crispy and have heart-shaped bacon, too.
Make an egg-in-a-heart.
It's pretty much the same thing as an egg-in-a-hole, except instead of cutting a round hole in the bread and cooking an egg in the hole, you use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut a heart in the bread.
