Woman survives being dead for 45 minutes after giving birth

Lots of parents say they would die for their children, but Ruby Graupera-Cassimiro actually did. Her heart stopped beating for 45 minutes soon after giving birth to her daughter Taily via Cesarean section. It was absolutely terrifying. Doctors at the Boca Raton Regional hospital fought for three whole hours to bring Ruby back from the brink of death, but to no avail. They were just about to pronounce Ruby dead when something miraculous happened. Ruby's heart restarted–all on its own!

Ruby is a living miracle. The 40-year-old mother of two suffered a rare but deadly complication while giving birth to her baby girl via Cesarean section. Amniotic fluid from her womb somehow made its way into her bloodstream, which caused her heart to stop beating. Doctors did everything in their power to bring Ruby back from the brink of death. They used shock paddles and chest compressions to try and restore her heartbeat, but nothing seemed to work. However, despite the three-hour fight to save her life, Ruby's pulse simply gave out. Disheartened, doctors decided to call it: Ruby was gone. Or so they thought.

Doctors had called Ruby's family into the operating room and were preparing to tell them she'd passed away when Ruby's heart suddenly began beating. On its own! It was in-sane! Doctors have no idea what happened. Their only explanation as of now is, Ruby's survival is simply "divine providence." I'd say! The woman is nothing short of a miracle. According to a hospital spokesperson, she didn't suffer any brain damage, and is the absolute "picture of health." How is that even possible?

We may never know how Ruby survived such an ordeal. However, something tells me her children may have had something to do with it. I'm a firm believer in the idea that there are few things more powerful than a parent's love for his or her kids. Though we may never be able to prove it, I know in my heart-of-hearts Ruby pulled through for her little ones.
