Child labor could be a pretty nerve-wrecking and painful experience, but imagine giving birth to a baby whose weight equals that of an average 3-month-old? Well that's what happened to one woman from Shanxi, China known only as Mrs. Tian. The 34-year-old mom delivered a HUGE baby earlier this week and left everyone at Chongi Maternity Hospital in complete shock. This baby boy weighed 14 pounds, can you believe that? Ouch–that had to hurt!

Tian's new child, who has not been named yet, was born on August 23. This was her second labor but I'm pretty positive it was nothing like the first. Tian also wasn't the only one surprised to welcome a big baby boy at 14 pounds, so was everyone at the hospital that helped deliver him. "It's the first time I've delivered such a huge baby in my 30-year career," Chongji Maternity's director said. He's so freaking cute though. I just want to squish those big, chubby cheeks!
Fortunately for Tian, she didn't have to kill herself pushing this big baby out. The giant infant was actually delivered by C-section. Crazy thing is, Tian's baby isn't the only baby born this big. In April of this year a couple from Massachusetts welcomed their first daughter, Carisa Ruscak who weighed a whopping 14.5 pounds. Tell me that's not big for a baby girl! And that's just one of many big baby stories out there.
In fact, according to a news report made earlier this year, there's been a 15 to 25 percent increase in babies weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces or more–and they think it might be linked to maternal obesity.
