6 Apps that will give you peace of mind

**As a parent, we usually ask for help from friends and relatives, but there are also so many apps these days to help us out in this crazy journey. I can't imagine how life was before they even existed, honestly. Kids can do everything on their devices now from learning phonics, timetables to how to spell and play an instrument. Fortunately, the world of apps has evolved into safety. We can now track our kids, monitor their whereabouts and even receive alerts when they are out of our range.

Ignore no More

Google Play

This one is brand spanking new and I can tell is going to be a hit! Sharon Standifird’s kids were messing with the wrong mom. She is an app developer, a Gulf War veteran and a mom tired of being ignored. As the name of her app suggests it, it will be impossible for kids to ignore mom’s text messages and phone calls because now we can block their cell phone. Yes! They won’t be able to text or call any of their friends unless they want to dial 911 because that’s the only option. In order to unblock their phones, they will have to call the preapproved number, aka Mom's, so they can get the code. Currently is only available on Android and Google Play but Sharon is working on an iPhone version. Get the app here.

Mama Bear

I absolutely love this app! If you have early teenagers like me, this app will be your best friend. It tells you where your kids are at all times and who are they interacting with online. You can set it up to give you alerts whenever your kid has been tagged in a photo or a video and whenever they check in to different locations using Facebook, Instagram or FourSquare. This app will also let you know if your child is driving too fast in a vehicle and speeding. Learn everything about this app here.

Baby Connect

Now you can record every aspect of your baby's life with this app. You can monitor feedings, diaper changes and milestones. You can also upload videos, photos and music. Basically is a journal on the go! You can register for baby connect’s website, create a profile and safe all the information you upload to your phone. You’ll never lose your content and you’ll have all the memories to cherish until your baby is all grown up. I wish they had this app around when I had my kids so we could all relive those precious days. Get the app here.

Net Nanny

This is an easy way to set up parental controls on your kid's phone to monitor their online browsing activity. A lot of parental control tools are very annoying because they are too sensitive and restrict practically everything, so you have to constantly revise the settings or remove them temporality. Net Nanny is the solution to that problem. The settings are wider and cover a bigger range of content ratings for every age. The app also gives you a report at the end of the week or month and you can limit the hours your kids spend playing with their devices. Currently for Android, get this app here.

Word Wizard

I adore this app and my daughter does too! I found this app came handy when it was time to take standardized tests because it increased her vocabulary. With this app, young kids will learn their ABCs, construct words and spelling in a fun way. The older ones can use to write better sentences and understand the meaning of words better. You can learn more about this app here.
