Mother-of-four Clover Stroud saw her dead mom while giving birth to her fourth son, Dash. Could this have really happened?
I've always heard that when a woman becomes pregnant that her spiritual senses heighten. Some call it an influx of hormones, others paranormal activity. Call it what you will, but there's no denying that with most pregnancies comes a seriously spiritual experience. But it is really possible to communicate with the dead? Well, as it turns out, it just might be!

Clover's mother died when she was just five months pregnant with her youngest child. Dash never got to meet her, but feels that her son shares a special bond with her mom since she has an unshakable faith that her dead mother was in the labor room, helping her to withstand the pain of the contraction when Dash was coming in to the world. She actually SAW her with her own two eyes.
What makes this story even more poignant is the fact that Clover's mom suffered an accident when she was 52 and Clover was only 16 that left her both mentally and physically incapacitated. So, even though Clover remembers her strong and loving presence all throughout her childhood, she actually hadn't seen her mother like that since she was a teenager.
"Wearing a long, denim skirt and a familiar, knitted waistcoat I'd last seen her wearing when I was a teenager, just as I had remembered her before the accident, my mother smiled at me," Clover describes.
Did this woman really see her deceased mom or was this mere hallucination? I mean what are the chances of a pregnant woman experiencing something that has absolutely no logical or scientific explanation? "Women in late labor are at the outer teaches of human endeavor and can therefore have unexpected and extreme moments of heightened awareness," antenatal teacher Virgil Clarke says. "While we can pin these experiences down to a chemical reaction in the body, we also cannot discount the idea that, sometimes, a woman might have a profoundly spiritual experience."
I can't lie, this story definitely gave me the chills. This isn't the first time I've heard something like this either. I know a number of women who have had strange spiritual experiences during labor. Hey, you never know!
