WATCH: Chilling footage of SUV as it almost crashes into mom & baby stroller!

As moms, we'd do anything–ANYTHING–to protect our kids, right? I know I'd put my hand in the fire and put my life at risk to protect my babies. But sometimes, protecting them is out of our control, like when horrible accidents happen or incidents that we can't see coming. This is what happened to one San Francisco mom and her baby who were caught on video narrowly escaping death. The footage of this mom's quick actions are nothing short of amazing. You HAVE TO see the video after the break.

Security footage shows a mom walking down a calm sidewalk with her baby in a stroller, just like any of us would do. But what happens in the last few seconds left me cold: An out-of-control SUV comes out of literally NOWHERE and barrels straight for the mom and the stroller. But just as fast as that car comes at them, the mom jumps back immediately, as if by instinct and avoids being hit by the runaway car by INCHES–maybe even centimeters, it's THAT close!

mom saves baby from being hit by suv

The crazy incident happened Friday morning as the mom walked down a San Francisco street. She hasn't been identified yet, but I'm sure we'll meet her soon as media tracks down the hero mom who saved her baby. According to reports, the runaway car hit another vehicle just moments before the mom was in its path of death, and veered off the roadway out of control. Both of the drivers were taken to local hospitals and the incident is still being investigated.

Holy crap, this is one CHILLING moment. I'm sure that mom is super thankful right now for having been able to escape unscathed from that horrific accident. I really hope that if anything like that were to happen to me, that I'd have that mom's speed in getting my baby out of harm. Check out the video below for yourself–your heart will skip a beat when that car crashes right by the stroller!
