Deciding on a baby name is no easy task, as any expecting couple would know. Alaska mom Lisa Flores learned that the hard way, as she's now seeking to legally change her 2-year-old daughter's middle name–and you'll never guess what she wants to change it to!
Apparently, when Flores was pregnant with her little girl, Viviana, she turned to her 11-year-old son for help picking out a name. He initially wanted her first name to be "Danger," which she vetoed. He then came up with another option for a middle name, which Flores considered briefly only to reject at the last minute. Now, she's changed her mind again and wants to go with his choice after all. So what exactly is the name that's causing all this fuss? Read on to find out!

The name that Flores' son picked out and that she's now changing her daughter's middle name to is awesome…literally. Instead of her current name Viviana Contea Flores, Flores' daughter will legally be called Viviana Awesome Flores. That's right. You know when people say "Awesome" is their middle name? Viviana will be able to say it and actually be telling the truth. Ha!
But before you start wondering why this mom would take her 11-year-old son's advice on a name (bold move, if you ask me), you've got to hear her full reasoning behind it. It's actually kind of a sweet story! According to the Daily Mail, Viviana's father didn't stick around long after Flores got pregnant and her son has been really supportive since then. When he expressed disappointment that she hadn't gone with his choice of name shortly after the baby was born, she decided to show her appreciation for all his support by changing the name. Aww! That's a nice–if unconventional–gesture, no?
Flores has reportedly been saving money for the hundreds of dollars needed for the process and is due to appear in court to ask for the name change next month.
For some reason, I am not anti-Awesome. I mean, the name Awesome, not awesomeness in general (who would be anti that?). Maybe it's because of the whole story behind this particular case, but I think there are far worse names out there. On the other hand, talk about pressure to live up to your name!
