Surrogate scammer faked pregnancies & miscarriages to steal money

I've head of some awful scammers in my life, but 28-year-old Louis Pollard of Plymouth, England is among the scammiest of the scammy. I really cannot get over what she is accused of doing because it is so unbelievably cruel especially when you take into account that she is a mother of two children herself.

She took advantage of two couples who were desperate to have children by agreeing to be their surrogate. She is accused of defrauding couples Keith and Josephine Barnett and Winston and Debra Kaba. She told these couples that she would carry a baby for them, she then went on to fake pregnancies for each couple, take their money and then fake miscarriages because I guess that's just how she likes to make money … by stealing the hopes and dreams of people who want to be parents. I might maybe dislike her just a whole bunch.

Even Pollard's brother, Shaun McLoughlin, is disgusted with his sister. He says, "The parents pinned all their hopes on her. They had to go through the agony of believing they were going to have a child and then that the baby had died. Who would do that to another human being?" EXACTLY! What kind of a person would do such an awful thing?

Pollard is in custody at the moment because one of the couples she scammed got suspicious and went to the police. Earlier this month she pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud against two couples. She will be sentenced this Friday.

I'm glad this woman was caught. Who knows how many other couples she would have scammed through surrogacy otherwise. Ugh and now what happens to her own kids if she goes to jail for a long period of time? I don't like her, but that is not her children's fault. I wish them luck.
