Elsa Pataky paints her pregnant belly & you can too!

Elsa Pataky isn't shy about showing off her baby bump! This week, the 37-year-old model, who is expecting twins with actor husband Chris Hemsworth, was spotted wearing shorts and a sports bra while on a photo shoot this week. And she was clearly all too happy to flaunt her growing belly, even painting a life preserver on it to match her red, lifeguard-looking outfit. Ha! Well, that's one way to embrace your bump.

I gotta admit, I've never really understood the whole belly-painting thing. Still, Pataky looks adorable and happy. Plus, she isn't the only celebrity to have a little fun with her baby bump.

Actually, it seems to be becoming a trend among some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including some of our favorite Latinas. As can be seen in the photos above, both  Mariah Carey and Alessandra Ambrosio painted their bellies (with a butterfly and flowers, respectively), during their most recent pregnancies. And lots of other moms, both celebrity and otherwise, have gotten in on the trend too!

Personally, I'm not sure if I'd ever do this. But for women who aren't afraid to bare their bump, painting it like Pataky could be a cute way to announce you're expecting, reveal the sex, or just capture a cute pregnancy moment. Check out some other painted pregnancy belly ideas below:
