Bovino originally planned on giving birth at home with the assistance of a midwife, but when she went into labor five days before her due date, she had to think on her feet. With Jack asleep in his room and her husband Paul working the overnight shift as a police officer, Bovino had no choice but to take action.
She got on all fours on her bed and rocked back and forth before going into the bathroom to give birth. According to Bovino, her new baby daughter, Stella, was born within five minutes. Just a short while later, Bovino's husband came home and did not even know his daughter had already been born! Can you imagine?!
Paramedics were called and both Bovino and baby Stella spent a few days in a local hospital. "Everyone at the hospital called her a super woman, a trooper. Just absolutely amazing what she did by herself," Paul said.
Yeah, no kidding! I have to give Bovino some major credit from remaining incredibly calm and strong throughout the entire experience. Had I been in her shoes, I would've been terrified. I'm amazed at how she was able to take control of such a scary and unexpected situation and am just glad that both her and the baby are safe. One thing's for sure–she's going to have one heck of a story to tell Stella when she gets older!
