Shakira & Gerard Pique already being blasted as bad parents!

Shakira__ and her boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, are in BIG trouble with their fans. Why? The couple was recently  photographed driving out of a soccer stadium where the new mom went on her first official outing with their son–and little Milan was not strapped in a car seat, but resting in his dad's arms on the passenger side of the vechile!

Oh Shaki…you know I love you, but what in the world were you thinking?!

The photo (seen below) was uploaded to Twitter, where it quickly went viral and sparked outrage amongst the social media world. Many users even began to call Shakira and Piqué's parenting skills into question … and honestly, I can't say that I blame them. I am a big fan of both of them–as individuals and as a couple–but as much as I hate to say it, this was a seriously stupid move on their part.

I mean, how could they possibly have thought it was okay to let their practically newborn baby sit in the front seat?! Though it's unclear from the picture whether Piqué was also wearing a seatbelt, I don't think it even makes a difference. In Spain, children under 12 years old are not allowed in the front seat and kids under 2 must be restrained in a car seat … and there's a reason for that! Those laws are meant to keep children safe and not following them is extremely dangerous.

The only logical explanation that would make this remotely understandable (and what I'm hoping is the reason behind all of this) is that Shaki and Piqué were trying to escape paparazzi and fans and simply get out of the stadium as fast as possible. After all, this photo captures only a split second of their drive. Maybe once they got away from all the chaos, dad Piqué was able to get out and strap baby Milan into his car seat? It's definitely a possibility considering the frenzy the duo normally causes when they're seen in public.

Either way, I just hope the two learn their lesson from all of this controversy and never make the same mistake again!
