One of the most challenging tasks new parents will face is potty training. But looks like parents don't have to worry about this anymore, as CTA Digital has come up with a way to make it easier on both the parent and child with: the iPotty.
Yes, much like the iPhone, or iPad, the iPotty is a new idea created by CTA will hit stores in February and retail at $40. Kids in the training process will be able to enjoy it on the combined potty trainer and tablet stand. The potty contains an adjustable rotating stand which allows them to play their favorite iPad games during the ordeal.
Okay, this is all good an all, but … Is it just me or has technology gotten out of hand?
Now you have companies making potties specifically to hold an iPad as your kid poops and pees. Gross! If kids back in the day can get trained the old-fashioned way, modern day tots can too!

But it turns out the new potty training device isn't as bad as it may seem. CNET.com reports that the screen on the iPotty is removable and has a splashguard. For boys there's a pee guard, and there's a lid that turns it into a seat for girls. The best (or worst) part is that parents can take it apart to clean.
Although it might seem a bit crazy to encourage kids to bring their gadgets to the bathroom with them, it may be an effective way to help parents train them faster and easier. If this process helps moms and dads out with potty training then I can't knock CTA for creating this contraption.
Perhaps when I'm training my kids, I'll use this method and end up thanking them. So if you're in the process of teaching your little ones to use the toilet, this might be the solution you're looking for. Hopefully they don't create something similar for adults who already bring their phones and tablets EVERYWHERE–including bathrooms.
