I'm just going to say: leave it to a gorgeous Brazilian supermodel to become the first woman EVER to appear with a pregnant belly in the "end-all, be-all in exclusive glamour" better known as the Pirelli calendar.
The legendary annual feature, which is shot by the best fashion photographers and features the most gorgeous and well-known models in the world is for the first time ever featuring a pregnant model. Non other than Adriana Lima and her four-month-pregnant belly are stealing the show this year and I couldn't be more thrilled!

This isn't the first time that the gorgeous Victoria's Secret angel is appearing in the calendar (she was featured back in 2005) but now she's causing quite the stir by showing off her adorable baby bump. Sure, it's not the same as Alessandra Ambrosio's much-fuller-belly naked ad for a jewelry company, but it's almost there!
Apparently people are slightly up-in-arms about Adriana's photos because the Pirelli calendar's reputation has always focused on nude modeling but it's supposed to be "the classiest pin-up you've ever seen", which is why there's never been any hint of a belly ever before.

Come on, though, people! She looks AMAZING and I'm sure she'll continue looking gorgeous all throughout her pregnancy, just like her Brazilian supermodel buddies. I mean, let's be honest here: what woman wouldn't want to look like that?! I'm glad the Pirelli calendar is opening up their perceptions of beauty because Adriana Lima is definitely gorgeous enough to fit their glam standards.
