Joe Manganiello and Sofía Vergara were married for seven years and certainly looked like the picture-perfect couple. But even though they say a picture is worth a thousand words, can a picture or even a thousand pictures of a couple ever tell you their whole story? Of course not, which was the case with Joe and Sofía, who announced in July 2023, that they were going their separate ways.

Fast forward seven months and Joe is all coupled up with someone else, Caitlin O’Connor. Not just coupled up either, they have reportedly moved in together and made their relationship Instagram official. Caitlin and Joe apparently met in August 2023 at a screening party for the second season of the HBO show she’s in, Winning Time. Now she’s appearing on Joe’s Instagram as his official lady love.
Caitlin made her IG debut on Joe’s feed on February 18.
Joe posted a “week in review” carousel on Sunday. The 10th slide is of Caitlin looking sideways as she stands in front of a bouquet of long-stemmed roses and a heart shaped box of chocolates.
In the pic, she’s wearing a dazzling metallic long mesh tank with an image of David Bowie emblazoned on it. The end of Joe’s caption reads: “And celebrated Valentine’s Day with Tool & Caitlin… ❤️.”
He also included a picture of them at a Tool concert.
The band Tool played at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 14 and 15, making for the perfect Valentine’s Day date for the couple who recently moved in together according to TMZ.
They had already gone public with their romance.
They made their first public appearance as a couple in December 2023 at NYC’s Children of Armenia Fund Gala, so it’s not like they were keeping their romance a secret. They just hadn’t gone IG official yet.
And what about the moving in together part?
Is it too soon? Maybe, maybe not. Moving in less than a year since they started dating might seem kind of fast, but a source told Page Six that although Caitlin moved in with Joe, she still “has her own place.”
They started dating just two months after he filed for divorce.
They met the month after he filed for divorce at a party and were pictured alongside other guests enjoying a soak in a hot tub. A month after they met, their romance started to make headlines. A source told TMZ that they have bonded over their shared Pittsburgh roots.
This romance comes soon after Joe’s long-term relationship with Sofía Vergara.
Sofía and Joe met at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in May 2014. By August of the same year, they went public with their romance. They tied the knot in November 22, 2015, in a beautiful ceremony at Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
In July 2023, Sofía and Joe issued a public statement.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” their joint statement explained.
Joe filed for divorce two days after the joint statement.
They issued the statement about their divorce on July 17, 2023, and two days after, Joe filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences,” which could be just about anything. It is legal jargon used in states that recognize no-fault divorces.
In January 2024, Sofía shared one of their irreconcilable differences.
“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom,” she said in an interview with the Spanish publication El País. “I feel it’s not fair to the baby.”
