Benny Blanco shocks Selena Gomez when he explains what he does in the shower

And the award for cutest celebrity couple goes to … Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco! I realize no such award exists, but if it did, these two would be a shoo-in. Did cute celebrity couples even really exist before these two showed us the true meaning of cute? I don’t think so. They aren’t just cute, they are a delightful revelation unto themselves and unto us. What I mean by that is that as they discover more about each other and share some of those discoveries with the public, we all get to delight. For example, in a recent interview, Benny’s confession about what he does in every shower he enters left Selena stunned.

The music producer and the multi-hyphenate billionaire businesswoman have been engaged since December 11, 2024. Recently, as part of their cover story for the March issue of Interview magazine, the darling duo filmed a Q&A session, which led to Benny sharing that he doesn’t shower every day, but when he does, he sits down and has a “good cry.” Selena seemed surprised and amused by the confession. Check out the details and Selena’s reaction.

Here’s how it went down: Selena read a card that asked which one of them takes the longest showers and without hesitation, she pointed to Benny. Then things got interesting … really interesting.

“OK, I might not get to shower every day, but when I do, when I feel like I deserve it. I’m in there for so long contemplating life. I sit down in every shower I go into,” Benny shared.

“Have you ever cried in the shower? It’s incredible. Do you cry in the shower?” he asked Selena. She responded by doubling over from laughter. He was unbothered.

“Sometimes you just have to have a good cry,” he continued.

“I also get death realizations when I’m in the shower,” he continued. “Like I realize I’m going to die, but it’s in the shower and then I cry about it a little bit and then it goes away and then I feel great because of the warm water.”

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that most people don’t sit down in every shower they go into and have a religious-like experience that ends in tears and a good cleansing of the soul. Benny may be onto something and I may need a bigger shower.
