15 Loving phrases to tell yourself to remind you what a great mom you are

Allow me to be real real with you right now. I am a mother and I am a writer. Both the mother and writer in me wanted to create a go-to list of loving phrases for mothers because, as a mother, I know that there are times when we need to encourage ourselves and, as a writer, I know that words are powerful tools. I started gathering these affirmational phrases and quotes about motherhood for you, dear reader, but it turns out that I really needed them myself.

Motherhood has a way of bringing you to your knees at times and making you feel like you just don't have the strength to deal with a certain situation but you do. You truly are so much stronger than you think or give yourself credit for, and time and time again, you have proven it to yourself and your family.

Regardless of whether they work outside of the home or not, all mothers are working mothers. You know this, other mothers know this, but some fools just don't know. Be patient with those fools because clearly, they don't know that motherhood is a 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week kind of gig.

And if she doesn't say it, then they'll ask "But it's worth it, right?" Yes, of course it's worth it, but a mother needs the space to unload on occasion because being a mother is the greatest and hardest thing ever.
