It's chilling. A Honduran teen, who was recently married and pregnant, was pronounced dead after collapsing on her bathroom floor. One day after her burial, family members swore they heard banging and screams coming from her coffin. They smashed the tomb to exhume Neysi Perez's body. Was she really buried alive? What they found out was truly devastating and it's all caught on video.

In the video, Perez's family is seen smashing her concrete coffin in the hopes of discovering her still alive. Her husband Rudy Gonzalez told Primer Impacto, "As I put my hand on her grave I could hear noises inside. I heard banging, then I heard her voice. She was screaming for help." A cemetery worker also claims to have heard muffled cries from her coffin. I doubt that's something he hears everyday! Creepy.
Once the 16-year-old's body was resurrected, her lifeless body was taken to a medical clinic where the family held an exorcism. Despite the priest's efforts, she was still pronounced dead. The eerie part is that relatives say Perez clearly had bruised fingertips and a glass viewing window in the coffin was broken. They believe she was buried alive and tried her hardest to escape.
Can you imagine the emotional roller-coaster her partner and family must have gone through? They were desperately hoping for a miracle and were left with a mystery that will never be solved. My hope is that Perez didn't suffer or go through this traumatic experience. She and her baby deserve to rest in peace.
