Miracle baby pulled ALIVE from Nepal earthquake rubble after 22 hours (PHOTO)

This is truly what miracles are made out of. A 5-month-old baby was trapped underneath rubble after the devastating 7.8 earthquake hit Nepal on Saturday. His mother was in utter shock and prayed that her son and 10-year-old daughter would be safe. Judging by the massive amount of debris, it was hard for her to stay hopeful. Her home was destroyed and her children were no where to be found. Rasmila Awal told CNN, "I started screaming and asking neighbors for help." She searched for hours hoping she would find her children. She was blessed enough to be reunited with both of them and the photo of this little baby will stay with you forever.

While Awal's daughter Soniya was found two hours into their search, baby Sonies was nowhere to be seen. The mother gruellingly searched alongside neighbors and army men until the sunset. They had to give up their search since they were no longer able to see the rumble.

Their father, Sham, rushed back to help with the search and heard a faint cry when night had fallen, but there was nothing they could do. I can't imagine what these parents must have suffered emotionally. The amazing thing is that they didn't give up and continued searching in the morning.

As the day broke, diggers could hear baby Sonies cries and were able to dig him out of the rubble 22 hours later. It amazes me that this baby was able to survive that long under heavy debris and dust. He was destined to survive! This is truly a miracle. Seeing his pained little face being pulled out of the rubble just breaks my heart. Amazingly enough, all he suffered her cuts and minor bruising.

Baby Sonies teaches us that in the wake of so much tradegy there's still life and hope to live for.
