Church prays nude because Jesus was born naked… huh? (VIDEO)

Religion tends to be a touchy subject for some people, but one church in Virginia is pushing the limits by going nude!  The White Tail Chapel decided that it would be a good idea to give churchgoers the option to show up naked because wearing clothes in the Lord's home was "pretentious."

Oh boy, as if the peace exchange wasn't awkward for those with sweaty palms as is!

Pastor Allen Parker, of the nudist church, says that the reason they are taking this approach is because it's as Jesus intended. "When he [Jesus] was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked," Parker explained.

There have even been couples who have found love and married at the nudist church. Katie Church says when she met her husband Robert that she quickly fell in love with him and the congregation which she says has become her family.

Being around other nude churchgoers could make anyone feel self conscious, right? Not so, says Parker. "There's not a feeling that you have to be better than one another, physically. We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have … it's learning to love and accept that." he explained. Even with this frigid winter we've been having people still show up nude to sermons!

I think it's an interesting idea to allow people to embrace nudity in a church, but I can see why others would be apprehensive about it. If this is what makes these churchgoers feel more comfortable while serving their time there then by all means go as buck naked as you want. Although, I assume they have to have a good sense of humor. After all with the way the cold weather can affect certain body parts, you kind of have to! If this you're open to worshipping the lord in a unique way, then this might be the place for you.
