The students were traveling to their prom at the West Hotel on Fort Lauderdale beach when the van right in front of their limo swerved, hit a wall, and flipped over. After seeing the accident, the limo driver, Danny Izzi, quickly hit the brakes and pulled over to help. When the students looked out to see what had happened, they saw the van and immediately reacted.

Still decked out in their gowns and tuxes, the group helped Izzi pull five adults, a 9-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl out of the car and to safety. "I was helping this little boy and was just trying to keep him calm," 17-year-old Krista Pulcini told The Sun-Sentinel.

Thankfully, emergency responders got to the scene within minutes and none of the passengers were found to have serious injuries. However, the driver has been charged with failure to use due care and violation of a child restraint law, as the 2-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt or in a car seat.

And though the students say the event was a little traumatizing, they were relieved to see that the passengers were okay and were able to continue on with the rest of their night. They arrived only 15 minutes late to their prom!

Wow, talk about a night to remember. It's so amazing to see that both the driver and the teens didn't even stop to think twice before jumping out to help those people. Thank goodness they were there! Who knows if anyone else would've done the same? I'm just glad to hear that all the car crash victims are safe and that no one suffered any major damage. As for the heroic teenagers, well, I hope their prom was everything they hoped it would be–they deserve it after saving seven lives!
