5 Foods that keep your breasts healthy & cancer-free

We try our best to eat well, exercise to stay in shape, but there can be one part of the body we are neglecting and don't even know it. I'm talking about our breasts! We do everything to make them look aesthetically pleasing, but what about taking care of them from the inside out?

Yes, you may not know it, but there are "boob foods" out there that is not only good for your overall nutrition, but to keep your breasts as healthy as possible. You'll be surprised when you find out how many foods out there that we mindlessly eat or other terrible habits can up our chances of having breast cancer.

Even if the disease doesn't run in your family, you should still protect them as cancer does not discriminate. You can do your monthly breast exams, but there are other methods to make sure they remain in good shape. After all, a healthier and happier set of breasts isn't a bad thing in the long run.

Bright vegetables: Eating vegetables such as sweet potato, kale, swiss chard, and squashes to name a few are a good way to keep breasts healthy. They are packed with caratenoids which helps keep cell growth repair and grow with ease. 

Cruciferous vegetables: Pack broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, cabbage and other cruciferous veggies to keep cancer cells from developing. They contain phytonutrients which prevents your body from developing a form of estrogen that can cause breast cancer.

Pomegranates: The exotic fruit contains polyphenols, an antioxidant that fights cancer growth. Eat them on their own or add to salads and yogurt toppings.

Beans: Whether you like chick peas or lentils, these beans are ideal to keep breasts healthy. The folate and fiber in them prevent cancel cells from developing.

Flax seeds and salmon: The omega-3 fatty acid component in these two foods is key for cancer prevention. The B12 and D vitamins in salmon and the fatty acids in flax regulate cell growth putting cancer at bay.
