Want to update your look for fall? Take a cue from Selena Gomez, 22, who flaunted her new fringe bangs in an Instagram photo posted on September 13, captioning the image "Bangs." The singer and actress debuted her new look on Saturday, hours before she was spotted in Las Vegas with her on-again beau, Justin Beiber, who invited her to the Floyd Mayweather fight.
This, of course, is not the first time Selena has experimented with bangs or debuted a new hairstyle in an Instagram selfie. Before though, she was wearing wigs rather than committing to a major beauty makeover. Now, however, she seemed ready for a transformation–and it worked beautifully! Her fringe bangs are deliberately choppy and wispy, as opposed to the traditional blunt cut commonly associated with bangs. Plus, they fall along the middle of the eyebrows, making her look feel edgy and sexy.
Ever the style icon, Selena has tapped into one of the season's major beauty trends since bangs are totally having a moment this season. Emma Stone, Rita Ora "it" girl Alexa Chang have all decided it was time to bring back the fringe too. Clearly, then, we can expect many a bang-tastic celebrity hairstyle in the coming months.
British model Suki Waterhouse, who has captured tabloids' attention thanks to her romance with Bradley Cooper, has been turning heads with her blonde mane and fringe bangs–and, apparently, she inspired Selena's transformation. In a second selfie showcasing her new bangs, posted on Instagram on September 14th, Sel captioned her photo "Tried my best @sukiwaterhouse," nodding to her beauty muse. Could a platinum dye job be next?
